As of July 20, 2026, the whole country has planted 1,862.8 thousand hectares of summer-autumn rice, down 24.0 thousand hectares compared to the same period last year, including: Northern provinces planted 166.9 thousand hectares, down 5.5 thousand hectares; southern provinces planted 1,695.9 thousand hectares, down 18.5 thousand hectares.

Index of industrial production in July of 2026
Industrial production in July kept a positive growth momentum, driven by the activation of new production capacities and the expansion of business operations. The industrial production index for the whole industry in the month is estimated to have risen 1.2% compared to the previous month and 14.5% year-on-year.

Consumer Price Index, Gold Price Index and US Dollar Price Index in July and the first seven months of 2026
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) decreased by 0.12% in July 2026 compared to the previous month, mainly due to lower gasoline and oil prices following the decline in global fuel prices, as well as lower food prices resulting from abundant supply. Compared to December 2025, the CPI increased by 3.08%, and it rose by 4.45% compared to the same period last year.
