The agriculture, forestry, and fishery sector in 2020 took place in relatively favorable weather conditions for crops and livestock to grow and develop. However, due to the complicated development of the Covid-19 pandemic, especially in the third quarter, many localities have implemented social distancing, affecting the supply chain of production – processing – consumption of agricultural, forestry, and fishery products.

As of mid-September, the total winter paddy cultivated area in the country reached 1,577.4 thousand hectares, an equal to 99.8% over the same period last year.
