Agricultural production in the month focuses mainly on planting and taking care of winter rice; harvesting rice and others in the summer-autumn crop and at the same time sowing rice for the autumn-winter crop.
As of August 15, 2023, the whole country cultivated 1,387.3 thousand hectares of winter rice, equaling 98.6% of the same period last year.
Agricultural production in this month focuses on speeding up the planting of winter rice and autumn-winter rice, caring for summer-autumn rice and harvesting early summer-autumn rice
As of July 15, the whole country cultivated 1,194.4 thousand ha of winter paddy, equaling 105.8% of the same period last year, of which: Northern localities cultivated 836.1 thousand ha, equaling 108%; the southern localities planted 358.3 thousand ha, equaling 101%.
