Prices raised highly right from Quarter I and consecutively increasing in quarters II and III, but consecutively fell down in months of quarter IV.
On the morning of December 21st, 2018, in Hanoi, the General Statistics Office (GSO) held the scientific workshop with the topic “Results of test collection of information on consumer goods and services on e-commerce websites serving the calculation of CPI”.
In November, CPI decreased by 0.76% against last month. CPI in November 2008 rose by 24.22% against same period last year; by 20.71% against December 2007.
In October, CPI decreased by 0.19% against last month. This is the first times that CPI fell since beginning of the year. Average CPI in 10 months of 2008 rose by 23.15% over same period last year.
CPI in September 2008 grew by 0.18% against last month, which was the lowest increased rate in recent 17 months and against September’s increase rates of 2004-2007.
CPI in August rose by 1.56% against last month, higher than the rate 1.13% in July. Average CPI in 8 months of 2008 rose by 22.14% over same period in 2007.
CPI in July rose by 1.13% against last month. This is the month of lowest price increase rate in 7 months.
On the afternoon of January 9th, 2019, at the headquarter of the General Statistics Office (GSO), a training conference on the use of computer assisted personal interviewing (CAPI) in the survey and monitoring of consumer prices chaired by Mr. Vu Thanh Liem – Deputy Director General of GSO was held.
As compared with average consumer prices in 6 beginning months of 2007, average consumer prices in 6 beginning months of this year increased by 20.34%.
