In 2025, the Vietnamese economy still faced many challenges by natural disasters and extreme weather. Torrential rainfall, severe storms, floods, flash floods, and landslides in some localities caused disruption in production, circulation of goods, and negatively affected on people’s lives. In that context, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, and with the flexible, decisive, timely, and effective guidance of the Government and the Prime Minister, ministries, agencies, and localities closely monitored the fluctuations in the global and domestic economic situation, striving to implement tasks and solutions in a coordinated manner. Viet Nam’s economy achieved comprehensive results across sectors and fields, with macroeconomic stability and inflation under control.

International labour migration has become an important trend in the development and international integration of many countries, including Viet Nam. The employment of Vietnamese workers abroad not only contributes to job creation, higher incomes and improved living standards, but also enables workers to acquire occupational skills, modern work practices and international experience, thereby contributing positively to the socioeconomic development of the country.

Report socio-economic performance in August and 8 months of 2026
Agricultural, forestry, and fishery production in August maintained stable growth. Agricultural production focused on cultivating and tending of rice and other winter and summer-autumn crops. Aquaculture maintained a positive trend, supported by intensified farming practices, the application of science, technology, and stable market demand.
