In 2024, the world economy continued to perform in a complex and unpredictable situation with many risky and uncertain factors. For instance, military conflicts continued to escalate, strategic competition between major countries became increasingly fierce, many countries strengthened trade protection policies, public debt and budget deficits increased, some major economies witnessed economic slowdown, and the global supply chain disrupted partially. The above mentioned factors affected peace, stability, and economic growth all over the world. Along with that, natural disasters and extreme weather seriously affected people’s lives and socio-economic development in many countries. However, the world economy was gradually stable when the global trade in goods was improved inflation pressure reduced, the financial was continuously loosened and the labor market was recovered positively.
In that context, under the Party’s leadership; the accompany of the National Assembly; the proactive, flexible, drastic and effective direction and management of the Government and the Prime Minister; the close coordination of line-ministries and localities; the solidarity, trust and support of the People and the enterprise community, Viet Nam’s socio-economic situation in 2024 continued to see the clear recovery trend, for example, the growth gradually improved month by month and quarter by quarter, the inflation was lower than the target, major balances were ensured, many important domains achieved and exceeded the set targets.
