
The main objective of the 4th Meeting of the ASEAN Working Group on System of National Account (WGSNA) is to monitor the ASEAN SNA 2008 implementation plan based on the outcomes and recommendations of the 3rd WGSNA Meeting and to discuss the WGSNA Multi-Year Work Plans 2020-2025 containing detailed activities and timelines for SNA data collection, dissemination, and harmonization.
The members of the WGSNA Group agreed on some key of the following contents:
(1) Update on the list of the focal point and the amendment of WGSNA’s Term of Reference (TOR). Handover of WGSNA Chairmanship from BPS-Indonesia to DOS Malaysia; (2) Review the Multi-year work plan (MYP) 2018/19 – 2025, and the proposed revision to be a Multi-year work plan (MYP), proposal draft AWP 2021. Review the achievement and progress of the activities in AWP 2020 and proposal draft AWP 2021; (3) Brief on the previous work of the ASEAN Working Group on SNA Indicators (WGSNA). Update on data submission to ASEANstats by showing data visualization of AMS’s SNA data submitted to ASEANstats. ASEAN states to present the SNA data release in ASEAN Statistical publications and at the ASEANstats website.; (4) Review SNA 2008 Implementations Operational Guidelines; (5) Capacity Building Agenda, ASEAN-Help-ASEAN (AHA) Mechanism; (6) Introduction to Code of Practice (COP) Section B and C for WGSNA. Country assessment through the snapshot tool; (7) Other matters, SDMX for SNA related data; schedule, venue, and possible topics of next WGSNA5.
