Conference for disclosure of law amending and supplementing some articles and appendix list of national statistics indicators of the statistical law

On the morning of December 16, 2021, the General Statistics Office (GSO) held a conference to disseminate the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles and the Appendix to the List of national statistical indicators of the Law on Statistics. Mr. Tran Quoc Phuong, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment (MPI) chaired the Conference.

Management Seminar for Heads of National Statistical Offices in the Asia-Pacific region organized by the Asia-Pacific Statistical Institute

On November 30, 2021, the General Statistics Office (GSO) attended the Management Workshop for Heads of National Statistical Agencies in the Asia-Pacific region organized by the Asia-Pacific Statistical Institute organization. The conference program is scheduled to take place in 2 days, November 30 and December 1, 2021 in the form of online.

Signing Ceremony Project Document "Supporting Vietnam to improve the quality of official statistics"

On the afternoon of November 26, 2021, at the headquarters of the General Statistics Office, the signing ceremony of the project document "Supporting Vietnam to improve the quality of official statistics" took place between the General Statistics Office and Statistics Denmark and the Embassy of Denmark. Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, Director General of the General Statistics Office chaired the ceremony at the bridge point of the General Statistics Office.

Domestic trade situation 9 months of 2021

The Covid-19 pandemic continues to be complicated, especially in the southern provinces, causing the total retail sales and consumer service revenue in the nine months of 2021 to decrease in all economic activities. Total retail sales of consumer goods and services in the nine months of 2021 decreased by 7.1% over the same period last year, if excluding the price factor, it decreased by 8.7%.
