Infographic social-economic situation in January of 2024

As of January 15, 2024, the whole country cultivated 1,821.4 thousand hectares of spring rice, equaling 96.9% of the same period last year, of which, the northern provinces reached 63.4 thousand hectares, equaling 66.6%; the southern provinces reached 1,757.9 thousand hectares, equaling 98.5%; particularly the Mekong River Delta reached 1,427.7 thousand hectares, equaling 99.5%.

Index of industrial production in February of 2024

The index of industrial production (IIP) in February 2024 is estimated to decrease by 18% compared to the previous month and by 6.8% compared to the same period last year. In the first 2 months of 2024, IIP is estimated to increase by 5.7% over the same period last year.

Of which, northern localities reached 680.9 thousand hectares, equal to 82.6%; Southern localities reached 1,876.5 thousand hectares, equal to 100.2%, the Mekong Delta region alone reached 1,481.7 thousand hectares, equal to 100.5%.
