Average CPI in ten months of 2018 increased by 3.60% compared to the similar period in 2017.

Generally, in the fourth quarter of 2018, CPI increased by 0.6% compared with the previous quarter and by 3.44% from the fourth quarter of 2017.
CPI in January 2019 increased by 0.10% over December 2018 and grew by 2.56% compared with the same period last year.

Generally, in the first four months of 2019, total estimated retail sales of consumer goods and services reached 1,583.7 trillion dongs, increasing by 11.9% against the same period last year, if excluding the price factor, the growth rate was 9% (it increased by 8.9% in the same period in 2018).
(IIP) was estimated to grow by 9.8% from 2014, higher than 2013’s increase of 5.9% and 2014’s increase of 7.6%. Of which the mining and quarrying went up by 6.5%; the manufacturing rose 10.6%; the power generation and supply grew by 11.4%.
Index of industrial production in 2016 increased by 7.5% over 2015, much lower than the growth rate of 9.8% in 2015 and 7.6% in 2014 due to the sharp decline of the mining and quarrying.
Average CPI in the first five months of 2019 expanded by 2.74% from the similar period in 2018. CPI in May 2019 increased by 1.5% against December 2018 and by 2.88% from the identical period last year.
