Gross domestic product (GDP) in the third quarter of 2020 is estimated to increase by 2.62% over the same period last year, which is the lowest increase of every third quarter in the period 2011-2020.

GDP in the first six months of 2020 was estimated to increase by 1.81% over the same period last year, the lowest six-month growth rate in the period of 2011-2020 (the second quarter of 2020 recorded the estimated rise of 0.36% ).
Generally for seven months of 2020, total realized investment capital under the State budget reached VND 203 trillion, equaling 42.7% of the annual plan and increasing by 27.2% compared to the corresponding period last year.
The cultivated winter-spring rice area over the country was 3,025.5 thousand hectares (ha), equaling 96.8% of that in the same period last year.
