The increase in domestic gasoline prices in line with world gasoline prices; the increase in the prices of food, foodstuffs, and the price of essential consumer goods and services in line with the price of input materials are the main reasons for the CPI in May. 2022 up 0.38% over the previous month; increased by 2.48% compared to December 2021 and increased by 2.86% over the same period last year.

Socio-economic situation in April and four months of 2022

Industrial production in April was estimated to increase by 2% over the previous month and by 9.4% over the same period last year due to the control of the Covid-19 pandemic, businesses being more proactive in terms of labor and production plans, overcoming difficulties to recover and expand production. Generally, in the first four months of 2022, the industrial index of production increased by 7.5% over the same period last year.
