Index of industrial production (IIP) in October was estimated to increase by 7.7% year-on-year, of which mining and quarrying decreased by 9.5%; manufacturing rose by 10.1%; production and distribution of electricity went up 8.9%; water supply, waste and sewerage remediation edged up 9.5%.
The gross domestic product (GDP) in the third quarter of 2018 was estimated to increase 6.88% compared to the same period last year, though it was lower than the rate of 7.45% in the first quarter of 2018 but higher than that of 6.73% in the second quarter of 2018.
Industrial production in August witnessed continuously positive growth. Index of industrial production (IIP) in this month was estimated to increase by 13.4% over the same period of last year.
In July, there were 11,262 newly established enterprises in the whole country with a registered capital of 122.1 trillion VND, down 7.8% in the number of enterprises and 7.6% in the registered capital compared with the previous month.
Generally for the first 2 months of the year, total retail sales of consumer goods and services were estimated at 793.8 trillion VND grew by 12.2% over the same period last year, if an increase of 9.28% of the price factor was excluded.
In January 2019, there were 10,079 newly registered enterprises in the whole country with registered capital of 151.1 trillion VND, down 7% in number of enterprises and rising by 53.8% in registered capital compared to in the same period last year.
