The overall industrial production index (IIP) in June is estimated to have increased by 3.3% compared to the previous month and 16.7% compared to the same period last year. Specifically, the processing and manufacturing sector rose 17.1% year-on-year; the water supply, waste management, and wastewater treatment sector grew by 10.3%; the electricity production and distribution sector went up 15.5%; and the mining sector increased by 13.4%.
For the first nine months of 2026, the IIP is estimated to have grown 12.3% compared to the same period last year (up 9.0% in the same period of 2025). Among them, the processing and manufacturing sector increased by 12.9% (up 10.3% in the same period of 2025), contributing 10.0 percentage points to the overall growth; the electricity production and distribution sector grew 10.6% (up 6.3% in 2025), contributing 0.9 points; the water supply, waste management, and wastewater treatment sector rose 9.3% (up 8.6% in 2025), contributing 0.1 points; and the mining sector grew 8.0% (compared to a 0.4% decline in 2025), contributing 1.3 points.
