The gross domestic product (GDP) in the second quarter of 2019 was estimated to increase by 6.71% over the same period last year. The first 6-month GDP increased by 6.76%, which was lower than the rise in the first 6 months of 2018 but higher than the spread in the first 6 months of years 2011-2017.
The index of industrial production (IIP) in May 2019 was estimated to increase by 4.6% over the previous month and by 10% over the same period last year. Generally in the first 5 months of 2019, the IIP was estimated to increase by 9.4% over the same period last year.
GDP in the fourth quarter of 2018 was estimated to increase by 7.31% over the same period last year.
GDP in the third quarter of 2018 was estimated to increase by 6.88% over the same period last year.
GDP in the first Quarter of 2018 achieved an estimated increase of 7.38% against the same period last year.
GDP in 2017 achieved an estimated growth of 6.81% compared with the same period last year.
GDP in nine months of 2017 achieved an estimated growth of 6.41% compared with the same period last year.
GDP in 2017 was estimated to increase by 6.81% compared to 2016, This growth exceeded the target of 6.7% and higher than the growth rate of 2011-2016.
The IIP in November was estimated to increase by 17.2% compared to the same period in 2016, of which the manufacturing increased by 24.3%; production and distribution of electricity spread 13%; water supply, waste and sewerage remediation went up 10%; however, the mining and quarrying fell decreased by 4.1%.
The average registered capital of an enterprise reached 10.7 billion VND, a growth of 14.2%; the total number of registered employees in the month of new established enterprises was nearly 90 thousand persons, a rise of 40.5%.
