Consumer prices in August 2006 raised 0.4% against last month. As compared with December 2005, consumer prices in August 2006 increased by 4.8%.
As compared with August 2005, consumer prices in August 2006 increased by 7.5%, of which prices for food and eating services increased highly 8.4%; housing and construction materials rose by 9.6%; means of transport and communication by 7.9% (price for telecommunication decreased, equaling 97.4% of the price in August 2005). With the density of nearly 62% of the total expenditures for good and services, these 3 groups contributed mainly to the increasing prices in August over same period last year.
