Industrial Production Index in June 2025

– In the first six months of 2025, the Industrial Production Index (IIP) is estimated to increase by 9.2% compared to the same period last year (an increase of 8.0% in the same period of 2024). Specifically, the manufacturing and processing sector rose by 11.1% (an increase of 8.9% in the same period of 2024), contributing 9.1 percentage points to the overall increase; the electricity production and distribution sector increased by 4.5% (an increase of 12.8% in the same period of 2024), contributing 0.4 percentage points; the water supply, waste management, and wastewater treatment sector rose by 11.3% (an increase of 6.4% in the same period of 2024), contributing 0.2 percentage points; while the mining sector decreased by 3.0% (a decrease of 6.0% in the same period of 2024), reducing 0.5 percentage points.

– The industrial production index in the first six months of 2025 increased in 62 localities compared to the same period last year, with only Ba Ria – Vung Tau province witnessing a decrease of 2.6%.
