Press conference to announce the socio-economic situation in the 2nd quarter and 6 months of 2022

On the morning of June 29th, 2022, the General Statistics Office (GSO) held a press conference to announce the socio-economic statistics of the second quarter and the first six months of 2022.

General Statistics Office was elected to the Executive Council of the Asia-Pacific Statistical Institute

The election is within the framework of the 78th session of the ESCAP underway from May 23 to May 27, in Bangkok, Thailand. Viet Nam is among the top 3 countries with the most votes at the CSAM and the top 5 countries with the highest votes at the SIAP.

On the morning of April 13, 2022, the General Statistics Office (GSO) held a workshop on handing over and training on the use of the Website of the Developed Population Spatial Data System (WEBGIS). Mr. Nguyen Trung Tien, Deputy General Director of GSO chaired the workshop.

On April 6, 2022, the General Statistics Office (GSO) in collaboration with UNODC and UNESCAP organized the “First workshop of pilot activities for measuring illicit financial flows in Viet Nam associated with wildlife trafficking” both indirectly and online. Attending the Workshop, on the GSO side, there was Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, General Director of GSO, chairing the workshop.
