In the morning, January 9th, 2019, in Hanoi, the General Statistics Office (GSO) gave a warm reception to Mr. Luca Maestripieri, Director of Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS).

On Friday, December 20, 2019, the General Statistics Office (GSO) held a workshop on the results of implementation of Enhanced General Data Dissemination System (e-GDDS) in 2019 and the plan for 2020.

From April 1 to 5, 2019, Technical Support Team from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) headed by Mr. Serkan Arslanalp - Deputy Division Chief of Strategy, Standards, and Review Division of IMF’s Statistics Department and Mrs. Deepti Devi Vidyala - Information Management Officer of IMF’s Statistics Department visited and worked with the GSO.

The 23rd statistical mission from Republic of Korea headed by Mr. Eun Sun Hyun, Director General for Statistical Data Hub Bureau, Statistics Korea (KOSTAT), visited and worked with the General Statistics Office of Vietnam (GSO) from April 22 to 27, 2019.

On the morning of August 13, 2019, in Hanoi, the General Statistics Office (GSO) had a courtesy reception for the delegation from the Department of Census and Statistics Sri Lanka. Mr. Pham Quang Vinh – Deputy Director General of GSO chaired the meeting.

On the morning of August 29th, 2019, in Hanoi, the General Statistics Office held the ceremony to award the commemorative medal “For the cause of Vietnam Statistics” to Ms. Adstrid Bant, UNFPA Representative in Vietnam for her honor contribution to Vietnam Statistics during her term of office in Vietnam.

In the morning, November 04, 2019, in Hanoi, the General Statistics Office (GSO) had a courtesy reception for the delegation from the Central Bureau of Statistics of Nepal (CBS).

Under the implementation of cooperation program between the General Statistics Office (GSO) and the Statistics Denmark (DST) since 2016, on November 05, 2019, the delegation of the Embassy of Denmark in Hanoi and the DST visited and worked with the GSO to discuss the implementation of the technical assistance program and the way to receive and organize to implement this assistance.

On November 6, 2019, in Hanoi, the General Statistics Office (GSO) held the mid-term meeting of the Management Board of the Project “Vietnam – Improvement of National Statistical System” funded by the Government of Italy. Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, Deputy Director General of GSO chaired the meeting.

In the morning, November 8, 2019, the ceremony of introducing mid-term results of the project “Vietnam – Improvement of National Statistical System” financed by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) was held by the General Statistics Office (GSO) in coordination with the Italian National Institute of Statistics (Istat) in Hanoi.
