The average registered capital of an enterprise reached 10.7 billion VND, a growth of 14.2%; the total number of registered employees in the month of new established enterprises was nearly 90 thousand persons, a rise of 40.5%.
GDP in 9 months of 2017 was estimated to increase by 6.41% over the same period last year, of which the first and second quarter rose 5.15%, 6.28%, respectively, and the third quarter was estimated to grow 7.46%.
The index of industrial production (IIP) in August was estimated to increase by 8.4% over the same period last year, of which the mining and quarrying decreased by 5%; the manufacturing increased by 12.4%; the production and distribution of electricity went up 9.6%; the water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities expanded 7.3%.
In July, production of fishery in the country was estimated at 677.4 thousand tons, a growth of 5.2%, in comparison with that of over the same period last year, of which fish reached 494.6 thousand tons, an increase of 3.8%; shrimp reached 91.8 thousand tons, by 13.3%.
The gross domestic product (GDP) in the first 6 months of 2017 was estimated to increase 5.73% over the same period last year, of which the first quarter increased by 5.15%; the second quarter was better than the first quarter with the growth rate of 6.17%.
In May, there were 10,954 newly established enterprises with a registered capital of 119.2 trillion VND, an increase of 9.3% in number of enterprises and 17.8% in registered capital over the same period last year.
Gross retail sales of consumer goods and services in April were estimated at 317.5 trillion VND, up 1.7% over the previous month and up 11.1% over the same period last year. Generally for the first 4 months, gross retail sales of consumer goods and services were estimated at 1,267.9 trillion VND, up 9.6% over the same period last year.
Although the realized investment of the State budget in April was higher than the previous month (a rise of 13.2%) and in comparison with the same period last year (an increase of 1.2%), there was a sharp decrease in the period of 2016-2019.
The GDP in the first quarter of 2017 was estimated to increase by 5.10% compared to the same period last year. The growth rate in the first quarter of this year was higher than the growth rate of the first quarter of 2012-2014, but lower than the growth of 6.12% of the same period in 2015 and the growth of 5.48% of the same period in 2016.
Gross retail sales of consumer goods and services in February were estimated at 309.3 trillion VND, going down by 6.5% over the previous month and going up by 7.2% over the same period last year.
